Brows to Vie For

Brows have a way of defining you quickly. You remember someone often by their feminine feautures like sculpted brows, exotic thick brows, or pretty arched brows. Which describes you?

The Siren Sculpted Eyebrows

When you have a distinct Siren “look” with a graceful, defined browbone, maybe with an already sleek sculpted browline, I say you play it up. No need to conform to everchanging makeup trends when dramatic and possibly very thin but very alluring eyebrows naturally define your look. Just add smokey, barely there under eye liner with sultry, deep lids and dense strokes of mascara.

Balance the drama on lips: Add a darker jewel tone matte ruby lipstick for full lips or a pretty peachy matte for thinner lips. Cheeks can be a hint of peachy nude blush over a non colour contour for structure, especially at night.

To apply the best brow shape: Use a fine tip brow pencil in matching color (of your darket and lightest shades of your hair) to create a long sculpted shape with angled individual long strokes, top with a lighter pencil at ends to taper.

The Girl Next Door Arched Brows

Nothing says fresh and earthy like softly arched brows, feathery and filled in at the arch, and not too obviously brushed up. The slight rounded curve of arched brows is the perfect pretty makeup to wear for a wide eye look with lots of waterproof mascara centered on top and bottom lashes especially at roots.

For pouty softness on lips: Add a medium berry lip with rounded edges and fullness. With gloss or matte, you'll need a softer color pink blended into the center. Blush the apples of your cheeks for rosiness that’s just so sweet.

To apply arched brows, dip a thin liner type brush into a lighter than your brow color shade of brow gel and swipe on individual hairs to build up fullness from inner angled corners all the way across, building up the height of the rounded brow arch. Next add a darker shade with a few strokes at the arch and lightly throughout. Remember to keep inner corners of brows natural looking, that means no dark or hard edges.

That Girl Thick Eyebrows

Dare to be bold and turn up the volume with a little extra; Arch higher, fill in brows fuller. Yes you can have thick brows, but not quite double what you have naturally - for the ultimate frame for flirty eyes. Of course you can handle thicker eyebrows when you add some outer 3/4 lashes too. Use a shimmery shade on lids with a creamy brow bone shadow for contrast and balance.

Play up lips: Line with a sand pencil on outer edges. Go pouty nude on lips, over coral beige matte lipcolor, add a sweep of frosted beige to highlight edges of lips and center of lids. Skip blush and contour; dust on bronzer instead plus pink glow highlight with a big brush to spread it high on cheekbones. All systems go.

To apply thick eyebrows, use a skinny wedge brush with lighter than your hair color brow gel, top with slightly darker powder at arch and to barely, yes barely, square inner corners of brows using a fine tip brush.
