Is your Makeup too Heavy? 5 Must Have Sexy Makeup Fixes
Colorful shadows, heavy liner and dark contour causes a stir, but do you stop before your makeup is too much? Here are a few ways to play up features to give you the most impact so you can balance strong lipcolor and brows.
Glowy Base
fix: Is your base glowy and blended? Go lighter in texture and a shade darker in tone, then top with a lighter highlight. This move cuts down on the contour you need as a way to do Reverse Contour (TM) with highlight. Add highlight down center of face to brighten.
Blending Contour
fix: Is your contour looking muddy or like a brown stripe? Use a more pinky tan or golden tan shade like a dark pressed face powder instead that glides on in an easy to apply sheer texture to relieve the stripe effect.
Soft Blush
fix: Is your blush soft and pretty- no harsh edges or frosted fuschia? Use an extra large brush to spread out color and keep it from building up in one area. Apply a dab of glowy highlight sparingly to cheekbones with a smaller soft brush.
Sexy Liner
fix: Is your eyeliner accenting your eyes or drowning them out? Black may be too much for day- except at top outer corners. If you wear lower inner black liner switch to slate or indigo. Toss the bright fat pencils and try a lighter sheer shimmer on the center lid, outline with a smokey copper, or plum.
Luscious Lashes
fix: Is your mascara real looking or looking cakey? Could you use some individual lashes for a pick up? Or even extensions? What about custom fit magnetic lashes? (k that's one of my specialties at Gild & Glosserie) Otherwise apply a nourishing lash builder instead and use two layers of mascara on curled lashes.
